Masters in Global Hospitality Management Study Abroad Program

Students interested in applying should click the Apply Now button to login with their Campus ID and password and complete all application components. Because the program size is limited, early application is strongly advised. Individual interviews may be scheduled with students upon receipt of the application. 
Attending IMEX 2018 Global hospitality is the intersection of hospitality firms, international business, and strategy. This course deals with global hospitality from the perspective of the international entities operating in an international environment. The objective of the course is to provide students with a fundamental knowledge of the business and application of global hospitality and tourism organization development and operation. At the Conclusion of this Course, students will be able to:
  • Evaluate the influences of competition in global hospitality business
  • Identify the impacts and influences of economic and geographic factors on international hospitality business environment
  • Identify appropriate strategies for operating in global hospitality business environment
  • Determine branding and targeting strategies for international hospitality market

The program is open to graduate students in the Regynald G. Washington Masters of Global Hospitality Management program. International students at Georgia State who hold F-1 visas must contact the Office of International Students and Scholar Services at (404) 413-2070 to discuss possible implications of study abroad for their immigration status.

Participants who successfully complete the program’s HADM 8300 course will receive 3 semester hours of course credit at Georgia State University.
Program cost may vary at any time according to currency fluctuations and changing travel arrangements. The program cost is tentatively set at $4,171, PLUS regular Georgia State University tuition and fees. Nonresident/out-of-state students will pay in-state tuition plus a $250 fee in addition to the program cost.

Payment Schedule
November 21, 2019: $1,000 deposit due upon acceptance
December 20, 2019: $500 payment due
February 14, 2020: $1,000 payment due
March 27, 2020: $1,671 final payment due

All payments are non-refundable upon receipt
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Georgia State University students may use any financial aid they currently receive for the term they study abroad, including: Pell Grant, Federal Direct Loans (Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans and PLUS loans), Perkins Loan, HOPE Scholarship, and other scholarships. Please note: due to federal regulations, these funds are not available in time to use for your initial payments! Georgia State University students may be eligible for the IEF Scholarship and the International Access Scholarship.

Students who:
  • Meet the eligibility requirements
  • Are accepted into a program
  • Pay a deposit by the deposit deadline

RCB Global Hospitality Management Study Abroad Students participating in GSU-sponsored programs must complete a Health Clearance upon acceptance to their program. Please print this page to take with you to your appointment. Prior to departure, Study Abroad Programs will enroll students in international insurance for the duration of their study abroad, the cost of which is included in the program fee. The U.S. State Department's website provides important international travel information about health, safety & security.

Students traveling on this program should expect:
