Kortney Easterly Cosmopolitan Scholarship
cos·mo·pol·i·tan [noun] a person who has lived in and knows about many different parts of the world
Mission
The Kortney Easterly Cosmopolitan Scholarship is designed to assist full-time, undergraduate Georgia State University students with enriching their academic and professional careers through international education and global experience.

Scholarship founder and world traveler, Kortney Easterly, is a proud alumna of Georgia State University. Easterly graduated in 2011 with a BA in Journalism and BA in Sociology and was the recipient of the Fall 2011 Nell Hamilton Trotter Student Leadership Award. Her passion and experience with the study abroad program at Georgia State compelled her to create the Kortney Easterly Cosmopolitan Scholarship to provide students with financial assistance with their study abroad programs. The scholarship is open to all full-time, undergraduate students who meet the minimum requirements; preference is given to students who have never traveled abroad.




One student will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $500 for the 2018 Maymester/Summer programs.

Requirements
  • Enrolled full-time at Georgia State University
  • Institutional GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Good academic standing with the university
  • Accepted into a study abroad program
**Only degree-seeking programs that will be participating in credit-bearing programs are eligible.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  March 23, 2018

Please note: The scholarship winner will be asked to provide a photo and write a brief review of his or her study abroad trip. The materials will be shared on the scholarship's website and social media platforms.
