Program Description:
The Coca-Cola Global Ambassador’s Scholarship is to introduce first generation college students to an international experience.  The overall mission is to enable students to acquire global competency through study abroad and, in the process, gain substantial competitive advantage in the job market.   
  • First generation college student
  • Applicants must be enrolled in and working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree at Georgia State University or any active member of the CIBER Southeast Consortium.
  • A minimum institutional GPA of 2.75 is required for undergraduate students
  • A minimum institutional GPA of 3.0 is required for graduate student 
  • At the time of scholarship application, applicants must have been admitted to, or be in the process of enrolling in a study abroad program for which they will be receiving academic credit at Georgia State University (or an active member of the CIBER Southeast Consortium).
Award Criteria Preferences
  • Robinson College of Business students
  • Students with little or no international professional or study abroad experience
  • Students studying in emerging or underrepresented markets
  • Students participating on a Georgia State University sponsored program
  • Interdisciplinary studies 

Award Amounts
If awarded the Coca-Cola Global Ambassador Scholarship, students will receive the following to help defray the cost of participating in a study abroad program:
  • Less than 8 weeks in duration: $1,500
  • 8 weeks or more in duration: $2,500
If awarded, funds will be disbursed in April.
Application Rules
  • Incomplete applications will not be eligible for review. 
  • Late applications will not be accepted. 
  • Recommendation(s) must come from a GSU faculty or staff member, using their GSU address.  No exceptions! 

There will be a service component associated with accepting this award.
