If you do not find a program on our website that suits your needs, you are able to choose from hundreds of other programs. The Study Abroad Programs staff is happy to help you find a program not listed on our website that meets your needs. There are hundreds of programs from which to choose. The Study Abroad Programs Office is an excellent resource for students to explore alternative quality study abroad options through other institutions and international education organizations.
Affiliate Program Providers - Georgia State University has agreements with five affiliate program providers. We encourage students to choose programs offered by these program providers: AIFS, API, AustraLearn/AsiaLearn/EuroLearn, CEA, and ISA. GSU students are eligible for special discounts and scholarships if they participate in one of our affiliate's programs.
USG Programs - Another popular option for students is participation in a study abroad program offered by another University System of Georgia (USG) institution.
ISEP - Students looking for a more immersion experience may find ISEP a good fit. Students will need to register as a transient student at an ISEP member institution.
Other Non-GSU Programs - If you do not find a program within Georgia State's offerings, or offerings by our affiliates, other USG institutions, or ISEP, that suits your needs, you are able to choose from hundreds of other programs.
*IMPORTANT: If you will be taking part in any non-Georgia State program, you must meet with a Study Abroad Advisor, your Academic Advisor, and complete the Study Abroad Student Data Sheet and turn it in to the Study Abroad Programs Office before you will be eligible to use financial aid to study abroad and to ensure your credits will transfer back to Georgia State.
By participating in a non-GSU program, you will earn transfer credit, you will pay nothing to GSU during the term abroad, and you will be responsible for ensuring all credit pre-approval, financial aid, and enrolment forms are completed.
